346 Pictures

For one day…does that seem like a lot? Not too many? Enough? I guess normally, I would say that at least half of them are garbage, doubles or throw aways. But not today. Each image is unique. Each image is amazing. Each image is a keeper. Crap. That is a lot of documentation. 346 pictures is a lot. I wish I could say too many. But considering what we witnessed today, it is likely not enough.

What did we do today? Well, put simply, we walked, we saw falling water, we drove. Rinse and repeat that a few times. Add in a beach visit. Sounds pretty boring, eh? The activities may have been ‘basic’ but the scenery surrounding us was anything but.

The best way to bring you on this journey with us is to take you on our final drive to our hotel. The landscape changed more often than a chameleon changes colours while walking through a rainbow.

Jason was 100% enamoured with the clouds. It’s a pilot thing, I hear.

This is just one of the many glaciers we drove by.

Our first ‘real’ day in Iceland has far exceeded any and all expectations we had. Anything we experience from now on is gravy. Is Iceland on your bucket list? Then I say make it happen. It is not on your list? Well, then…I beg you to change your mind.

Follow your heart…and the rainbows. Go to Iceland, you won’t regret it.
