Yes, this is a travel blog and yes, Mexico has been absolutely amazing. There have been so many uniquely Mexican experiences that we’ve had and there are many more to come.

Anna’s friend, Teagan, came to cheer her on and even custom made these posters for her!!!

But.

This post is all about Anna and karate! Sorry Mexico.

Anna in her kumite match – she didn’t end up winning, but as you can see, she didn’t get her butt kicked either!

Today, Anna competed in the 5th ISKF World Shoto Cup here in Merida. Joined by 20 countries and hundreds of competitors we settled in for a full day.

She and her team won Bronze in Team Kata doing Go-ju-shi-ho-sho. It was amazing to watch. Her event starts at the 15:00 minute mark here.

After a full weekend of competition, nerves, adrenaline and training it is finally time to unwind and PARTY!

A huge congratulations to Anna and her team, Team Canada and the organizers here in Mexico that ran this whole weekend beautifully.

Now we can go back to traveling. Thanks for indulging us 🙂
