Pretty easy day for us today…it is a holiday for crying out loud.

Beautiful way to start today at the lake

We are going to go check out the local gorge. The Orinoco Gorge is said to have been formed almost 12,000 years ago during the last Ice Age. Basically water and ice forcing its into the rock and prying it apart.

After walking through the forest for over an hour, it wasn’t until the last 20 metres that you actually saw it. Down the hill and staircase we reach the bottom where they’ve set out planks to walk on to protect the bottom.

Now we’re taking the rest of the evening off listening to Spirit of the West, Barenaked Ladies and of course The Tragically Hip!

Kick up those feet and take the afternoon off
