Norway Makes 44

We travelled by bus from Gothenburg, Sweden to Oslo, Norway this morning. A quick 3.5 hour drive and we’re in our 44th country! We left under rainy skies and arrived in Oslo under beautiful sunny skies. Love it.

We found our bus station – phew, those bags were getting heavy.

Right away Oslo gives us a different vibe than anywhere else we’ve been on this trip. It is lively and vibrant. The streets are filled with people out and about enjoying the day.

We take a couple of hours to walk the main pedestrian street. The theater, the university, and the Royal Palace and all kinds of shops were just a few of the highlights.

To finish our day, we head to yet another spa. Yeah, I know. Another one. I swear, we’ve never been so clean!! This time, in addition to all the saunas, pools and steam rooms, we got treated to a true hammam. Aaaahhhhh.

I understand how this is going to sound…but…spending 4 hours in the spa is energy intensive. We always walk out of there yawning like crazy and STARVING. Luckily, there was a highly rated donair shop just down the road from our hotel. We each got, and mostly finished, a donair that was larger than our head.
