Early start today, but it’s for a good cause. We have one last sight to see and it’s the Blue Lagoon.

Our 7am check in is just 45 minutes away down the highway. So it mean our wake up alarms went off at 5:30am. Yeesh!

What a place for our last Icelandic soak. While not actually a natural hot spring as it was accidentally created in the 1970s when mineral-rich geothermal water from the nearby power plant was discharged into a lava field.

We have the whole day here for our face masks, and floating massages before leaving for the airport at 2pm. Yes, the airport to find our airplane heading back to Canada.

A special treat for us in Halifax; we get to visit Janelle’s brother & girlfriend and of course our niece and nephews. I’m not sure who was more excited, us or the kids.

It’s hard to believe we are in the final stretch of coming home.
