Still basking in the glow of yesterday’s race, we start heading up the road again.

Our first pit stop is a roadside art exhibit called The Silent People. About a thousand ‘peat-headed characters’ in a field. That’s it. That’s all the guidance the artist gives us.
We are supposed to come up with our own conclusions to what it means. I think it means I need a more creative brain because I have no idea on what this all means. <shrug>
We were warned when driving in Lapland that we would find reindeer on the highway, and since they are half-wild they don’t scare easily out of the way. Sure enough we are stopping a few times on the way.

Janelle has found us some spectacular accommodation for this evening at the Arctic Igloos. We are right down beside the shore of the lake – hopefully we’ll see some stars above us, but I’m not holding my breath seeing as how the sun doesn’t sleep this time of year.

And who knew they have a zoo here? Time to check out what they have. Spoiler alert – very similar creatures to home.
