Up early today for our morning boat tour. And our first stop, the Shaman for our soul cleansing.

We each take turns getting hit with leafy branches, then encompassed with smoke to finally having an egg tapping us on our head, chest and back.

The egg reveals how healthy we are…and we both fail miserably. He says we both need a lot of help & protection from evilness – and this is done by putting one one of his special bracelets and wear it at all times.

Now, you may call me a sceptic but…neither of us bought a bracelet. Either way it was an interesting experience – we’ll let you know how we’re doing in future posts. lol
Then it’s off to the monkey islands. Both islands have been populated with monkeys by scientific projects. One successfully, and the other, less so.
One island has produced a second generation of monkeys which have also learned how to swim to the mainland for food.
Swimming monkeys? That’s a new one for me.

Unfortunately the monkeys on the second island haven’t procreated at all. Mother Nature doesn’t like something which is preventing future generations.

Once we’ve been dropped off back at our hotel it’s Pool Day! And we take full advantage of it – and even make time for a nap. Shhh

Later heading out into town we find a waterfall, a pineapple cart, Mexican Walmart (really, it is!), and we look for dinner. And well, sometimes you have to be happy with 2/3.
