Off to the beach today, but we won’t need our swim suits and towels. It’s 12° and feels like 6°
The only way to get there is by boat so we are taking the ferry from Reine and will take about 20 minutes.

This gets us to Vindstad, a village that now has only a handful of year round residents. We’re seeing mostly young families and twenty something groups full of adventure in their eyes as they look at the mountain peaks surrounding us.

We are doing the trail…walk to Bunes Beach – a 45 walk north across a small ridge which splits life here from fertile land, and easy access to fishing at the beach.

We return to the ferry jetty in plenty of time to enjoy the homemade chocolate cakes and brownies they have. It’s like they knew we were coming!
