Today we are starting at the Hans Christian Anderson Museum in Odense. He was a poet, story teller and a helpless romantic that lived his long life with a constantly broken heart.
The museum is quite the building paying homage to the man and his fairy tails.

We couldn’t have said this any better.
To move, to breathe, to fly, to float,
To gain all while you give,
To roam the roads of lands remote,
To travel is to live.
Hans Christian Andersen, The Fairy Tale of My Life: An Autobiography
He was born in the house next to the museum, and grew up just a few blocks away in this house. .

After our mid-day lunch Janelle and I take a walk through the small streets surrounding Odense’s old town. We can’t help but notice how nicely everyone keeps their places.
