We went to Billund, Denmark today. Do you know what is there? The birthplace of Lego. Yep. Fun for everybody. And let me tell you, from what I witnessed today – wow!

Was it fun to walk around the amazing sculptures? Yep. Was it fun to build your own creation? Yep. Was it awesome to take your creation to the cameras and have it immortalized forever? Absolutely.

But the most fun? Watching EVERYONE have the time of their lives. Kids of all ages (0 – 99!) were completely engaged. Including Jason. Wow. Watching him push over the 7 year olds to get that last green piece, witnessing him trip the over-eager dad while trying to get his picture taken with his art, and seeing that smile as his car raced down the track – best day ever. LOL.
Just kidding, it wasn’t that excessive – except for the glee – that was 100% genuine and completely warranted.

I am glad we committed to coming here, we weren’t sure that it would be fun – or for adults – when we were planning the trip.
It was hard to compete after such a great morning, but we managed to still find ourselves enjoying the day as we learned about the Jelling Monuments (ancient Viking stones), the Viking way of life (from the immersive museum) and our hike.

Denmark is for everyone: from 0 – 99.
