We hadn’t planned on doing anything but get from point A to point B and then onto point C. But, us being us, we thought, what the heck, let’s throw in another adventure. We have time, right? This is how we ended up in Salzburg, Austria.
The city known for The Sound of Music, Mozart and salt. Leo, our amazing guide, took us through a few of the hotspots around town for a couple of hours. We learned a lot, retained a bit and walked away happy that we took the extra 4 hours to make this happen.
I never knew Jason loved pickles so much. LOL.
No more fooling around, we must get back to Munich – we have a flight to catch! Luckily, we didn’t run into traffic, although a highway closure pushed us onto some smaller country roads. There were sections of it that were so engulfed by the forest, it felt like we were being swallowed!
Back at the airport, we returned the car – the easiest return in history, dropped off our bags – the easiest bag drop in history, went through security – the easiest…just kidding…we got a second screening 🙁
Jason was happy to see the mighty Dash 8 waiting for us on the tarmac to take us to a brand new country – Croatia!
Not a bad travel day at all.
