A good night’s sleep and we’re ready to take on today. We have lunch at the restaurant downstairs where Janelle finally – after 5 weeks – gets her ice cream!
Then it’s time to travel into Split to hook up with our friends, then onto Omis for this next chapter of our trip, the Multi Sport Adventure the next 5 days. So why wouldn’t we fit in an unscheduled, and ad hoc via ferata? I mean, the start is just a 10 minute walk down the road?
This isn’t like the other via feratas we’ve done before, those were guided. Like release forms signed, a briefing on what to do – and more importantly what not to. The guide with us the whole way making sure we don’t get lost and we make it back down safe.
Nope, not like that at all. We rent the helmets and harnesses from the local shop, we’re told where the starting points is “can’t miss the red sign”, and we’re on our way. No one else, just the four of us.

Totally worth it though! The views are amazing from up there
