Car keys and our hiking shoes again

As Janelle and I kick off the day and drive off to a couple of seaside villages today. Candidly we are a little uncertain how they’ll stack up to all the ones we road through last week.

First up Fjällbacka. A small town about 1.5 hours north of Gothenburg boasting narrow streets, coffee shops, and ice cream. Plus one trail that takes you through the hill in the middle of town. And when I say through…I mean through!

Our second stop, Smögen. Just south and a more commercialize version of Fjällbacka. Even more shops, restaurants, a larger harbour, with full blown neighbourhoods overlooking the water.

These huts…rooms…shacks(?) are very rustic. Many Swedes retreat here from the city to get back to basics

It’s quite easy to image Smögen in a few weeks when summer finally arrives and the population (and prices) triple.

These shacks include a loft for those big parties!
