I really didn’t know what to expect today Canyoning. I’ve never even looked into it before.

Canyoning is floating down the river wearing a wetsuit, lifevest and helmet, with traversing shallow (or steep) parts on foot to the next section. Turns out, I’m not the most buoyant person. I kept on running aground with the underwater boulders. Best I can describe canyoning is continually trying to get up from the lumpiest couch ever.
Every time my butt ran into one of these boulders, my arms flailed around trying to right myself and get off the rock – for 3 hours.
Luckily it wasn’t all that. We got to repel twice, pass through one of the hydro plant’s tunnels around a waterfall. And for those brave souls cliff jump – I am not one of those brave souls.

Would I do it again? Yes – just not tomorrow…my legs can barely get me off of this real couch I’m on tonight.
Thanks to Chris and our guide Mitch for these awesome photos today!

Every night we have dinner in old town Omiš – and tonight was special as it was St. Michael’s Day. He’s the warrior archangel of God and is honoured on September 29th. We just happened to eating at the restaurant beside St. Michael’s church…and it was busy. I guess you don’t want to be on the wrong side of God’s warrior!
