Today was a travel day. Planes, trains and automobiles all played a part, once again. While not a necessarily exciting day, it was very productive. Some highlights:
- I had the most delicious Chausson aux Pommes (Apple Turnover) of my life. It was like eating a puffy cloud. It was so light, so airy and flaky, so savoury and dripping in deliciousness. I am both sad and extremely grateful I didn’t find that bakery on day 1!

- We save ourselves over $50 by taking the train to the airport instead of an Uber. It took about the same amount of time and was very easy. We bought the correct tickets, didn’t get fined, didn’t get lost and didn’t even work up a sweat!

- We had free passes (Thank you Dragon Pass!!) to the Infinity Lounge in the Nice Airport. Wow. What a lounge – delicious food and drinks, lots of choice and endless comfortable seating. Aaaahhhh! The best part? They had Smurf Gummies!! Too cute.

- We technically entered a new country – Denmark! Although we won’t count it because we never left the airport. But we did buy some drinks with the Danish Kroner – that counts for something, right?

- Even though our flight into Munich was a bit delayed, we still had zero issues getting our rental car. Phew!

- Birgit, the fearless organizer of the Beer Cup here in Munich, waited for our arrival at the tennis center and saved us a couple of (HUGE!) plates of food. It was very good – we are definitely not going to starve here.

So, all in all, even though we spent the majority of it in airports and airplanes, we had a really great day.
