Hitting the Market in Marrakech

A late start for us today, I’m still shaking off the ‘Milkshake Monday’ fog.

Our plan today is to make it down to Saadian Tombs before they close at 5:00. We find out when we get there at 3:15 that they close at 3:00 because of Ramadan.

Oh well – off to the market. And one of the biggest things that both us of notice is we’re not being initiated by shop keepers to come buy something. It’s actually a pleasure to walk through and take it all in.

We find a spot for lunch right at a corner which makes for great people watching. Even got to take in quite the spirited conversation between two guys across the street. No idea what they were arguing about, but it made for great entertainment for all of us on this side of the street.

Then back to the market where I get busted taking a couple of pictures of a snake charmer. Time to get outta here and head back to the hotel.
