The ferry taking us to Ancona arrives right on time at 7am. All in all, not a bad way to get ourselves to Italy.
A quick power up for me with my latte and croissant and we’re ready for the train to take us to Venice. We’ve never been to Venice, it’s very exciting!

And when you exit the building at Saint Lucia Terminal, you are greeted by quintessential Venice

It’s time to head to our accommodation and I’m not sure who picked it, but there sure seems to be a whole lot of bridges to cross to get there.
Oh well, there’s no time for bellyaching…we’ve got a city to explore!
First a food tour, 2 hours with four stops – these sandwiches were so good. We have to come back for more!



Then a Vivaldi concert. We just happened to notice it when we were walking by. It’s so cool to be able to stumble upon things like this, and have the time to say yes!
