The Romantica

The Romantica

Time to get our sea legs on and get onboard the Romantica, a 105 foot, 2 masted motor sailor. We will be biking & boating for the next week through the islands off of Croatia to our final destination Dubrovnik.

Before we’re actually able to check in with the crew and get settled into our room we have time for a virtual reality experience. This to see what Diocletian’s Palace would have looked like back in 305 AD. Overall it was pretty good showing through animation of what life looked like back then – or at least what they think it looked like. Plus, it filled in a few gaps in the stories we heard yesterday in our tour.

The oranges here are irresistible and so we give in and pick up some more before heading down to the port.

Now it’s time to check out the Romantica, and I think we’ll be just fine. As long as the weather smartens up – we’ve been told that it’s just like winter here now in Croatia, and I believe it. It’s cold!

We are scheduled to be underway tomorrow at 7am. We can’t wait for the next chapter to begin!
