We are now safely and comfortably in Kotor, Montenegro. Our apartment is treating us nicely and the best part of all…we have a washing machine. The first thing we did was put in a load of dirty clothes. Aaaahhhh…it’s the little things in life.
We don’t have a lot of plans while we are here other than to relax and enjoy the town. We would have slept in but the rooster and the donkey that live right across the street had an alternate agenda. Of all the things we could have guessed we’d see in the city, a backyard donkey was not on the list. This donkey is not shy about voicing his concerns about anything. Eeh-aww! Eeeeeehhh-aaaawwww! EEEEEEEHHH-AAAAAAAAWWWW! It is hilarious. If he could just hold off in the morning, that’d be wonderful.
We strolled into – yes, yet another – Old Town to check out our lunch options. We ended up at a mall restaurant just outside of the walls and had some pretty delicious Serbian food.
Believe it or not, we decided to call it a day. There will be plenty of time for sight seeing and exploring in the coming days and we really needed a day off. As we were in a mall, we did a bit of shopping, picked up some snacky foods for later and headed home.
After all, the Facebook videos aren’t going to finish themselves.
