After my tennis today, Janelle and I are heading over to Nice for lunch at a very special restaurant. Le Plongeoir sits upon a couple of rocks on the Nice shoreline. Nestled in between Billionaire’s yachts, people enjoying the beach and 20 year-olds cliff jumping, this restaurant has been serving folks since the 40’s.

In order to get a table here, you have to book a reservation months in advance, so the only reason we are getting to eat here is due to our tennis leader who unfortunately had to return home on short notice. Janelle had the rigatoni and because we’re eating over the water, I just had to have the sea bass!
As soon as we finished…the sky darkened and we had the most amazing lightning & thunder show for dessert. So we didn’t have to leave mid-storm, we ordered a bottle of wine and settled in until it blew over.

It’s still early; Janelle and I are eager to set off to check out what else Nice has to offer. Plus, we need to find a creperie! As luck would have it, we found just the place in Old Nice!
15 minutes on the train back to Beaulieu and today is done!

Everything looks amazing and Janelle you are glowing!
Thanks Tola!! It has been amazing so far.
