Sometimes sketchy, usually cheap, always worth trying.  Often the best street food is found in the most unassuming places, and you just stumble upon them.

My favourite street food was when we travelled to Ayvalik, Turkey and came across this vendor who was offering baked potatoes with toppings.  That’s right, a baked potato.  You could have butter, pickled onions, olives, sausage, mayonnaise, pickles, hot sauce – you get the idea – mine had everything on it.  So good.
